The Heart Cut x Barley is the first release in the bottlerās three-part grain series celebrating the building blocks of whisky: Barley, Corn, and Rye. For this opener, The Heart Cut brings together single malt casks from five English distilleries ā Copper Rivet, The English, Cotswolds, White Peak, and Adnams ā to create a modern, fruit-forward English blended malt with loads of easy charm.
The flavour profile was shaped using insight from 5,000+ whisky drinkers via the bottlerās Whisky Matchmaker. Expect bright summer fruit, thick vanilla cream, cinnamon-bun sweetness and a soft berry character, all bottled at a confident 46% ABV in a 50cl format. Itās versatile too: great neat, lively in a Whisky Sour, or rich and rounded in an Old Fashioned.

Nose:Ā Ripe berries and meringue ā an Eton Mess-style sweetness ā with marmalade, shortbread, and cinnamon-heavy porridge. Strawberry yoghurt, fireplace embers, and honey sit in the background.
Palate:Ā Peaches and cream. Malty and supple with lots of vanilla sweetness, plus raspberries, orange zest, and baking spices.
Finish:Ā Maltier and more chocolatey as it settles, with bright citrus and extra cinnamon for good measure.
